The Oak Creek Elementary mission is to inspire and nurture leadership one student, one classroom, one community at a time.
Our Purpose
Oak Creek celebrated 25 years of educational excellence in the 2007-2008 school year. Oak Creek is nestled in a small community in the Cheyenne Meadows Neighborhood and serves pre-school through fifth grade students. The school is a safe environment with emphasis on REACH- respect, effort, attitude, citizenship and honesty. Oak Creek's expectation is that students and staff will continue to achieve at the highest levels.
While there is still work to be done on raising student achievement, Oak Creek students have made great gains in academic growth according to the Longitudinal Student Growth Model measurement used by the Colorado Department of Education.
Our Educators
The staff is a committed group of educators who continually study the best instructional practices and go above and beyond to meet students' needs. Classroom teachers and administrators meet on a monthly basis to align curriculum, review student achievement data, make improvements and give feedback on the progress of various educational programs. Oak Creek values high quality teachers and offers many opportunities for professional development to all staff.
Oak Creek's highly qualified educational staff uses Write Tools for effective writing, McMillan/McGraw-Hill "Treasures" Curriculum for reading and Math Central Curriculum for math.

Student Council has been working hard with their new "Employee of the Month" program. This month they honored Mrs. Paulsen, SPED Teacher, and Matt Ruppert, Title I Para. Kudos to you both for doing an outstanding job here at Oak Creek.
