The Oak Creek Elementary mission is to inspire and nurture leadership one student, one classroom, one community at a time.
BACK TO SCHOOL INFORMATION
Welcome to a new school year in Harrison School District Two! Back to School time is exciting, and can be expensive. Does your family still need assistance with back to school purchases? Please visit your school counselor, the district website and connect with us on Facebook for community resources to help your student start school ready to learn.
Starting 2014-2015 School Year: Free Breakfast & Lunch for Students
Harrison School District 2 is participating in a Universal Lunch and School Breakfast Program for the 2014-15 school year. If your children attend Harrison School District 2, with the exception of James Irwin Elementary, James Irwin Middle, James Irwin High School and PP BOCES, breakfast and lunch will be available to them at no charge. Studies have shown that children who are not hungry perform better in school. By providing breakfast/lunch to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students.
The school breakfast and lunch that we serve follows U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The Universal Meals Program cannot succeed without your support; please encourage your children to participate in school meal programs.
All meals will be served to all students in the participating schools at no charge regardless of the eligibility status.
2014-2015 New Start & End Times for School
Please remember that D2 schools have new start and end times this year. Check the district website for a complete chart of those times.
Several community partners are available to assist you in before and after school care.
